Suzuki GS750 1977

Purchased by us in Holland through our friend ,direct from its only owners family. This very rare twin front disc with wire wheels GS750 has only covered 17500 kms, so just over 11k miles in its life and had been its owners pride and joy into his later years. Unfortunately he passed away and the bike stood untouched until his wife decided that she would let it go. At this point when our friend went to collect the bike, he had known of it for many years himself, it was discovered that the old boy had partially dismantled it, carefully wrapping everything as he went! Now no one knows why, but by this point he was not fully” mentally aware” so we can only surmise that in his head it made sense? He had removed the exhaust system, carbs, air box, cams etc etc so when we got it home we inspected everything and could find no reason so reassembled it. As it was apart and even though the mileage is so low, engine wise we did fit a new cam chain and guide plus stripped and cleaned the tensioner, shims done. Carbs were stripped, cleaned and balanced. New oil and air filters. New spark plugs.
On the chassis side all three brake calipers have been striped, cleaned and rebuilt with new seals and brake pads. Both brake master cylinders rebuilt with new kits.New steering head bearings from where the bike had sat in one position for so long there was a very slight notch, which we noticed while replacing the front tyre (it still had its original tyre fitted!).We had the paintwork done as there were a couple of minor soft dents on the tank that as the rest of the bike was so good, let the rest of the bike down.
Now fully UK registered on its correct age related plate and historic tax class, this has to be one of the nicest examples of a “Triple disc, Spoked wheeled” GS750 on the market today. No not mint as it is after all 47 years old and mainly original, but very very nice.
