Every now and then something comes along that restores your faith in humanity. This lovely TRX came to us in p/x against a smaller bike. Its owner having had a medical problem that resulted in him strugling with anything heavy and rather than give up motorcycles, he moved onto a classic 185cc trail bike. He described his bike as in great condition and as he sounded like a trust worthy gent, we did the deal blind and delivered/collected the two bikes. On arrival it was very apparent that he had indeed described it exactly right and it truly is a nice example of this now rare and sort after Yamaha.
He put a pair of very expensive tires on the bike for its last MOT and they have not done 100 miles since, even still have the hairs on them. The bike is original apart from braided brake lines throughout, a polished rear swing arm and a grab rail. Starts on the button and is rides very well. In fact it makes you wonder why they never sold in great numbers as it is great fun to ride. Today if you are looking for something different in the classic jap bike world, something that is more than capable with keeping up with todays traffic on the way to work or a bit of fun round the twisties at the weekend. Or indeed a classic to take to the shows and not see another 10 of them, it is well worth a look, especially as while yes prices for a good TRX are on the way up, at this price it is still affordable to mere mortals.
