Not one we rebuilt but would be happy to claim that we did, its good enough! This 1977 Honda CB550 was imported in 2016 and in the years since has obviously received a major amount of attention! I guess you could call in a mildly cafe raced version? Me, i would call it “personalised” with its period nose fairing, seat with a rear hump and clock surrounds and brake caliper colour matched to the rest of its refinished paintwork. All of which is in very nice condition.
I dont really need to point out the obvious but it has the all important 4 into 4 exhaust system which along with the rest of the chrome work, is in great order. Mechanically the engine doesn’t smoke or make any un-toward noises. Gearbox, clutch, breaks, electrics all function as Uncle Honda intended, even after all this time.
When imported it was MOTd with 15991 on the clock, then by some miracle it had nearly 39k a year later, now it has 54!! So something is not right as the bike has hardly turned a wheel since 2021 when the last owner bought it, hence its condition. Obviously we do not guarantee the mileages either way, but thought i would mention this.
All in all a lovely example of this great middle weight, multi cylinder bike of the 70s
