Originally imported by a friend of ours, then we first registered it into the UK. Affectionally known as “desert storm” as it had stood unmoved for years in a Texan desert. Now you would think Great no rust! But unfortunately sand is used as a blast media and most of its alloy and chrome had suffered. Not finished as such but no not pretty. It had also suffered from slight damage to the left side leading edge of the front guard and side of the tank, again not terrible but there all the same. We stripped and cleaned the carb, un-siezed the brakes, fitted a new fuel pump and battery and off it went. We sold it a year or so “ as is” to a gent that wanted a bit of a project but to be honest, it was to big for him after a 600 Bandit and it then stood in his garage after having little more than a new set of tires, which it desperately needed. He has however just had the fork seals done and it then passed its MOT ( personally ii think the left hand fork seal is still weeping slightly). So now being offered as probably the cheapest VTX1800C you will find. it starts on the button, sounds really nice and rides very well, far better than it looks, so if your really not concerned about its cosmetics it can just be used, or its cheap enough to be a great candidate for a trike conversion. At this price it is being sold as a project bike, not fit for road use, no warranty. So would recommend looking first. PS. Mileage display is hard to read but the MOT shows 33212 and that was done probably less than 10 miles ago.
