Being only fairly recently imported from the States in 2022, probably goes a long way to explain how this very nice CB750K6 has survived so well, maintaining many of its original parts long past when traditionally they would of rusted away, that and its low miles showing on the clocks! Not that you can guarantee mileages but it just “smells” right! Coming to us from a large private collection that was being sold off due to the passing of their owner and like a lot of the bikes he had, pretty much purchased and then parked up.
On inspection we discovered the fuel had been left on, flooded the carbs and drained into the sump over filling the oil tank. So we stripped and sonic cleaned the carbs, carried out a service including oil and filter, air filter, spark plugs, adjusted the cam chain and once done found the clutch was dragging so replaced the clutch. Now all up on his toes and running nicely.
As mentioned, things like the chrome mud guards etc have survived very well but please note while the original and must have 4 into 4 exhausts look and sound great, a couple of them have been repaired at some point, not that you can see that as up underneath. It has had a respray at some point and there are 2 small marks on the top of the tank (see picture) otherwise paintwork shines nicely and is more than presentable. I am assuming the seat has been replaced as well as its to good not to of been. The clocks are excellent, some of the best i have seen and points to a bike that yes has lived in a dry state, but garaged and not left out in the sun to fade the clock faces. Electrics all work well and obviously you would of seen, it comes fitted with rare “Lester” alloy wheels.
So thats it folks, no not the cheapest but far from the most expensive 750K6 on the market today, but one of the nicest for sure and priced to allow a bit for the marks on the tank etc.
