This lovely old Suzuki TS185J is a real survivor. Called a “Sierra” unlike our beloved Fords of the same name,it has no corrosion! It is remarkably original and as you can see even has the rare high level metal front guard option. This coupled with the “narrow” flat bottomed front light unit and the larger rear light complete with built in side reflectors, marks it down as a one year only version aka very rare and collectable.

Imported in to the UK in 2021, the last owner striped the bike down and had the frame with its associated brackets etc nicely refinished,restored the electrical system and has fitted new tyres, chain and sprockets. There are a set of mirrors fitted but these are not original items. Apparently the engine has also be restored and while yes it starts very easily and sounds excellent, we have no evidence to back this up.

The original paintwork is in good shape but it has picked up some minor scratches on the left hand side, one of which lines up with a small snag in the original seat cover. Personally i think it would be a shame to rectify this as it wears its age so well, but they are there so need to be pointed out.

All in all a great blast from the past and one that you can go and have some fun on without breaking the bank.
