Honda XL350k 1975

Imported from Texas early 2017 by an importer close to us here in Essex. This rare 1975 Honda XL350 had spent the last few decades sat unused by its only American owner and while it has suffered cosmetically from “sun burn”, was very original with just over 6500 miles indicated on the clock, so very much worth saving.
On arriving in the UK, It was sold to another gent that we know who set about reviving it with a fresh paint job, new wheel rims and tyres, seat cover etc etc etc and attending to anything else he found while there. Once fully UK registered on its correct age related plate. He used it as a summer bike, along side his other bikes, until early this year when he then sold it to its last owner (Yep, we know him too!).
Purchased by him for the express purpose of going onto the back of his camper. He did take it on one trip to the New Forest area where it did exactly what he wanted but it was really physically to big for him to heave on and off his rack, so the decision was taken he needed something smaller and he sold it to us
Still with only 7500 miles on the clock ,it is a superb example of this sought after and rare here in the UK Honda Trailie. We have not laid a rag on it, so its condition in the pictures gives you a good idea of how well this bike responded to the TLC that’s been lavished on it since it was imported. Both the mudguards have been replaced but we have the originals ( front is more or less just faded, rear has cracks as well). Carb has been replaced but again the original one is in the box along with the guards and any other original bits that have been replaced. It even has its original owners book in a wallet of paperwork alongside various receipts, VJMC dating letter, registration papers from DVLA and the MOT it had back then when bikes of this age still needed one. It is now correctly registered in the “historic” tax class so no MOT, free road tax and no ULEZ charges.
Not a lot more I can say really? Past if your looking for a very very nice, classic 4 stroke Japanese dual purpose bike, that’s still affordable, you will struggle to find better.
