Sold new in the UK in 73, exported in the early 80s to the Isle of Man , where it spent most of its life before coming back to the UK and into a private collection of Hondas. There it stayed unused and not even UK registered until its owner passed away ,the collection broken up,, and we bought it.
All this goes along way to explain just how this bike has survived almost untouched, more or less original and with low miles on the clock.
Cosmetically it is really nice with just that lovely “age” to it all ( I think people like to call it patina nowadays 🙂 ) Mechanically again is very good with a very quiet engine. All its electrics work correctly clutch, breaks etc as well. While waiting for its UK registrstion we have not road tested it yet, but we have ridden it up and down our private road and can say it rides well. It bought a smile to my face as last time I rode a CD175, was when i had one as my first bike in 1978!
A lovely classic Honda at an affordable price.
